Pesaro hosts the XXI Calibra Club Italia National Gathering: engines, culture and landscapes in a unique event
From 13 al 15 December 2024, Pesaro, Capital of Culture 2024, will host the XXI Calibra Club Italia National Meeting, an event dedicated to fans of the historic Opel Calibra.
This meeting, which combines engines and culture, will offer the opportunity to explore the Marche city and its surrounding area, with a program that mixes cultural visits and landscape discoveries.
The rally will begin Friday 13 December with a visit to the ASI Museum of the Dorino Serafini Historic Autoclub, where the president Danilo Crescentini will lead the group to discover the story of the pilot Dorino Serafini.
Saturday 14 December, the program includes a panoramic tour with the Calibra. Departure from the hotel is set for 10:00, with several stops along the way. Mid-morning, the group will reach Fano, where he will stop for lunch at the Pesce Azzurro restaurant. In the afternoon, it will be the time to visit the Museo ASI Legend Garage, a private collection that the Crescentini family dedicated to their father Sandro. The vehicles on display include numerous historic models, including a unique collection of Caproni motorcycles.
Sunday 15 December, the gathering will end with participation in the monthly meeting “The Rumblers”, designed by Massimo Campanari ( owner of an ASI gold plate Calibra) and Manuel Girometti, which brings together enthusiasts of historic cars, classic, youngtimer, instant classic, American is a supercar. This meeting will take place in the Baia Flaminia car park, where Opel Calibras will be displayed alongside other vehicles. The gathering will end with a lunch at the Il Poggio restaurant in Ginestreto.
L’Vauxhall Calibra, launched in 1989, it is one of the most representative models of the 90s. With its aerodynamic design, which set a record for aerodynamic resistance (Cx) from 0,26, the Calibra was one of the most technically advanced cars of its time, launching what was the trend for coupé cars in the 90s. Its elegant shape and performance have made it a cult car, still celebrated today by fans of the model.
The XXI Calibra Club Italia National Gathering also represents an opportunity to discover Pesaro, Capital of Culture 2024. During the weekend, participants will be able to immerse themselves in the historical beauties of the city and the panoramas of the Marche. A perfect opportunity to combine a passion for cars with the discovery of an area rich in history, culture and traditions.
